When the USAF departs Boeing Field on an acceptance flight with a Boeing Company KC-46A for refueling, they leave the gear extended for 15 minutes for "brake cooling". I haven't read anything about this but heard it on the radio many times.PACK-44 KC-46 #18-46047 landing Dover kind of unexpectedly.
Looking for covert lighting on runway 32 so guess training.
Mentions taxing in and for brake cooling will wait about 30 minutes before IFR.
Never heard a KC-46 talking about cooling the brakes down.Says will park here engines running to cool brakes down.
