Must be a CAP-rookie tanker crew.
Yeah even fighter NOBLE-11 chasing tanker down now called him ADVIC. Couple weeks ago one of the 55th FS NOBLES said
we got lots of rookies for next 6 months of CAP work who haven't done much AR work. "They will get better after 6 months"
NOBLE-11 tail #93-0546 to the boom 231.625
No tail for NOBLE-12.. Notice on some of the 55thFS folks with some of the KC-135's the boom connect intercom works fine
so when connected you get no radio coms.. Seems to be the case tonight.
Had KC-46A a while ago and fighter asked if boom intercom worked and he said negative.. still working on that.

Strange that the CAP is active even though the TFR doesn’t go live for another hour or so.
New CAP participants so go easy on them :) Better early than late.. Notam says 1845 local for official start.
NOBLE-11 with Huntress 260.900 doing targeting practice Report checks on friendlies in the area confirming TOI target data.
1849 AF-1 inbound landing KDOV with tower 126.350 landing runway 19.
Motorcade to the beach.. All Deldot traffic coms are unavailable from Dover to South. Ouch.. busy traffic time on Fridays.

A PISTOL-22 been circling near Dover for a bit with mode-s 000017.
One of the F-16's showing? NOBLE-12?

Ron's list shows PISTOL as 55th FS callsign so must be one of the CAP F-16's.
2113 local NOBLE-11 says heading off to the tanker..
2115 local .. Uh oh.. ADVICE tanker says 231.625 unreadable squeal so push backup 234.175.. That works fine!
I was hearing both of them fine on 231.625..
PISTOL-22 drops from ADSB but may be on the boom.

2013 local NOBLE-11 talking about rtb now
Tanker ADVIC-14 will start working clearance back to Pease on 260.900
2018 local NOBLE-11 says 5 mikes from rtb on ZDC 354.150

KC-46A, 20-46081, AE63BD, as “GOLDN01” delivered to Travis today. Escorted by GOLDN02 KC-46A, 21-46058.
Thanks John! Boeing said would deliver first two KC-46's to Travis in July.. Late July LOL
Boeing always like delivering KC-46's on Fridays :)
Hopefully like McGuire name numbers in deliveries so seems Travis is using GOLDEN 1 and 2 callsign. Cool!
Rain storming here now! She is a blowin!

I see C-130s, C-17s, and C-5Ms - plus refueling aircraft - far more than any other military aircraft, so I was very interested to read the Washington Post profile posted just this morning on Gen. Michael A. Minihan. He leads the Air Mobility Command, and came to the public eye thanks to a recent memo predicting war with China. It's a good article.

If you don't have a Washington Post account, you can read a cached version of the article. Google search on Post Minihan and click the three small dots on the right of the results to open the options panel, then click the down arrow on the right to see "Cached" and click that word.

I read that today. Good officer, preparing his command for war. Only difference is...he may be the only one doing it and he doesn't mind talking about it.
