00-0182, the Martinsburg C17 that started in Germany, then flew across to Pease, during the night made a short stop at home at KMRB and then flew down to Pope (Ft. Liberty) where he landed this morning. Busy aircraft. REACH-776.
Woke up at 530 this morning, 15 minutes later a C17 buzzed the house at 3000ft with its engines screaming. Must have been loaded to the max as usually outbound from Liberty is higher by 3-5k when it comes over.
Another came in about 30 minutes later from Germany and it looks like RCH993 took off about 30 or so ago. Lots of flights in/out of Liberty since they were put on standby for deployment to the Middle East.

DOD put out an announcement this morning which mentioned the Eisenhower and then went on:
"The department also directed to the region a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense battery from Fort Bliss, Texas, and additional Patriot missile battalions from both Fort Liberty, North Carolina, and Fort Sill, Oklahoma."

I caught last night's CAP on the last orbit before sunset. Was still a tough photo as 24,000 feet up and about 8 miles away in some light clouds.

Yeah they only have a couple of Eagle II’s at Eglin, one each with the 40th FLTS and 85th TES. OT/ET or vice versa.
