1741- SLEDGE 63 checking in with ZQM advising them min fuel requesting FL380 non RVSM
1747- ZQM asking SLEDGE 63 if they are declaring an emergency (reply not heard), then handed off to 125.250 ZQM High LiveATC
1756- ZQM asking DEED 11 to confirm they are with 2 B-52s (reply not heard).

The min fuel call seems odd when there is a tanker in the vicinity. Maybe can't AR due mechanical issue ?

SLEDGE 63 not answering ATC calls on GUARD or center frequency.....finally 18:27 EST contact made......SLEDGE 63 headed direct KBAD

Boston offered to try to arrange a tanker for them....update KC135 just departed Bangor with 15K of fuel onboard
SLEDGE 63 refused the offer as unable.....so had to be a technical problem with the B52

They declared "minimum fuel" back with ZQM. Now ZBW advising them of the MAINE tanker. Sounds like they have a mechanical issue and can't AR.
