I watched PHL air traffic right up until 12:30 p.m. - it looked like the large commercial jets were all landing on 27, with smaller Gulfstream-ish traffic on 17/35. So I gambled on 27 and naturally Air Force Two then One both used 17/35. Oh well. It was crazy windy by the river, and a lot of visual distortion in the air. Here's a glimpse of AF2 over the Commodore Barry Bridge, some river traffic, and a bunch of wind-whipped water, and AF1's tree-top landing :)

Great shots despite the conditions.....yeah we are seeing winds down here peaking at 45 mph averaging 35 mph. That is a great location for 27 arrivals.

I suspect that balloon getting caught up in the NW jetstream which is bringing us this cold weather.
controllable or not its gonna move much faster to the Southeast. Maybe COBRA-47 is on to it.
I mean overnight this went from Montana to Kansas City area fairly quickly. Maybe be in Tennessee by tonight.

It's easier to show you the PA site. The antennas with the black Xs are no longer there (they took a trip to the beach and never came home).
DPD ADS-B antenna is the highest antenna - the online feed is feed by the discone (circled) and the DPD VHF antenna is just waiting for removal since no radio left to feed. Approx height is 30-40 feet all fed with LMR400 and N connectors. Site is located 6.5 NM from the KPHL transmitter site. KPHL audio is no issue due to the short distance, used to hear KILG much better and KPNE but development and growth of trees has reduced that down considerably. The Huntress (NORAD) site is about 19.5 NM away.

1700- Navy PR325 (EP-3 # 157325 VQ-1 NAS Whidbey Island WA) offshore near ACY heading south, Departed from New London CT.
Saw him Ron,seems to be coming back from Middle East base after long deployment. Maybe on its last hurrah?
Came Eastbound in June of last year and into the Med a few days later.

He started a descent right after ACY so I thought he might stop over at PAX or Norfolk, but he's dropped off ADS-B.
He is turning into Pax River NAS.. Too cold for water cannon salute :)

I see ASY-303 Tanker departed Andrews westbound on its round the World trip..

RCH092 KC-46 tanker #20-16073 inbound Hawaii from McGuire today.. Nice stop :)

COBRA-47 did a couple loops just SW of St Louis so maybe was on it.. COBRA now rtb Offutt. Short mission as getting dark.
From news article..
Other predictions suggest it will then travel over Kentucky and Tennessee, and toward the border between the Carolinas. Weather patterns are subject to change, and so the path of the balloon could alter in the coming days from the predicted trajectory.

1815 local Fox news showing live of balloon over Cape Girardeau. It is really moving on Southeast towards Clarksville/Nashville TN.
