SAM465 landing at Teterboro from Andrews. Took the route that takes it over Pennsylvania and making the right turn like AF2 did. Wonder why they’ve been flying in that route lately.

A little off topic, but I have gotten a lot of milair frequencies from this forum, so I thought I would pass these along.
3 B-1’s out of Ellsworth using callsign “Lurch xx” headed over MT to the Northwest were using air to air 343.0, also were trying to do comm checks on HF 7.6335, some having trouble hearing each other, probably just to damn close and de-sensing each other.

A lot of haze over New Castle this morning, along with high clouds. I got a new-to-me (used) Nikon 1.4 telecoverter which I wanted to test out, so finally got some decent clarity overhead about 25 minutes ago. Earlier I had an interesting shot of a 135 casting its own shadow quite a bit away from the aircraft - that one I'll need to play with in post-processing. These two shots are pretty much just cropped. I'm happy with the extra reach of the teleconverter - pushes my 500mm to 700mm and a lot of testing yesterday reveals no loss in clarity at all, which was a concern. These planes were well over NJ from me...

Luftwaffe A400 GAF564 is coming in. Right now he's kind of following the Hudson River at FL 310. Maybe I'll be able to get some pics

Edit: Annnnd right as I post this it starts veering to its right...

Your veer had him heading straight for me. Until he veered further right a few minutes later. Most uncooperative, these aircraft :(

Doing my normal at work look at YouTube and....

Ukrainian Pilot Test A-10 Thunderbolt II Near Ukraine Border

Nato A-10 Thunderbolts in Action Over The Ukraine Border at Night

Coming across this after looking at the previous rush to get rid of USAF assets -- especially the A-10 -- we can see the future and where they will be going soon. Quickest way to "liquidate" the inventory or "a good cause".

We all know the true purpose of the A10 was to be a Soviet tank killer for World War III if and when they would have made a charge across the Fulda Gap but it did not get to see action until the Gulf War. Even still how can you claim superiority in the Gulf with such a weak force, thought to be strong though. Good exercise of the aircraft but if transitioned to Ukraine then will be directly up against its intended purpose.

Maybe it's a case of being camera-shy. You guys with the long lenses live closer to the coast :D

Agreed... The A-10 was intended for a big European war, which makes it interesting since the F-111 was the big tank killer during the Gulf war, which in a big euro conflict would have seen it do interdiction/ deep strike...

and as a side note, the official U.S. Ranger manual says the most accurate ground support aircraft is the ..... F-16... !! At least in the older version of the manual, the new manual doesn't even include the F-16 or a rating of accuracy, but does have the A-10C and B-1B :)
Thanks
Joel
