TREND-11 flight ZDC 285.450 to ZDC 307.275 mentions waypoint BOS so assume Northbound.
Rgr Mark, caught these guys up here inbound to Bangor. Definitely had that distinct F-35 radio sound to it.

1824z 307.000 TREND 11 flight check in with ZBW, FL270 starting descent.
1836z 239.050 check in with ZBW descending to 11,000
1837z 239.300 wkg Bangor approach, passing FL180 for 11,000 looking for vectors to the visual runway 33 full stop. Two miles in trail.

Thanks.. I had the same deal last Thursday as well out of Andrews I think. Someone staging at Bangor?
Maybe a F-35 delivery coming up.

At work and not anywhere near my radio, but just noticed that on ADS-B myself and have never seen something like that before... What would be the reason for flying so low over Hunterdon County? Searching for the submarine launching drones out of Round Valley Reservoir? ;)
Well this took a while but I have the background. The flight Navy LL55 did a low altitude approach to Allentown KABE then as previously discussed with Allentown radar inbound asked to do holding pattern between the fix "SPURT" and 10 miles north of "SPURT". They did the holding pattern as VFR since they were a bit in no man's land on radar coverage (between KABE and New York TRACON).

Anyway the reason for the holding pattern is several crewmembers onboard were from that area in New Jersey and they wanted to fly around a bit - maybe parents or other family were out and could take pictures. They told NY TRACON they were doing training but actually told Allentown radar the real reason. Seems the Allentown controllers understood the "mission" requirements while the NY TRACON was confused and did not even know where the waypoint was.....LOL

So it was training and a little hey family go outside and look up - thats us !!

Good detective work Terry.. Yeah a lot of local controllers like to help out the Mil guys like when the Florida
P-8A's do their Summer aerial tours of Niagara Falls.. Starts off as practice approach at nearby KIAG airport then
Buffalo apch controller steers them to circle the Falls area as well. They know why they are up there :)

O/T: Lockheed Martin Corporation has been granted an STA license for another temporary radar, this one at NAS-JRB Ft Worth, TX

"Operate a radar system in support of efforts on the part of FBI, DHS, and other government agencies to identify the origin and intentions of uncrewed aircraft that pose a critical national security and public safety concern"

Posted on another list. Skymaster exercise from last night.

0944z 08 Jan 25

HFGCS (regular frequencies) is active with COMPOSURE standing by for traffic at 0800z; 0830z; 0900z (maybe earlier?)

0823z+/- 11175.6 USB; SKYMASTER with .6 offset confirming message traffic (4-element group).

0845z 8992.0 (on freq) SKYMASTER confirms receipt of message traffic.
0847z 8992.0 HEQE passed to SKYMASTER by BALMY (sounds like) 36, and acknowledged.

0856z COMPOSURE broadcasts the 30 character EAM 3ZETHP.
0859z COMPOSURE (weak in California and gulf coast SDRs) echos same but goes quiet during the broadcast. Followed by standing by for traffic at 0900z.

0903z COMPOSURE begins a 30 character EAM NDDFN7 but went quiet during reading of preamble and apparently did not finish.

At 0917z there's one E6B visible on ADSB mapping sites: KIKI 47 AE0412. IMO that is not "SKYMASTER." Could be wrong.

SKYMASTER on 11175.6 offset is probably RULE 43 AE040E. Could be wrong. The AE040E E6 is known for using the .6 offset on 11175 or 8992 (not both when simulcasting) during his message traffic and connectivity comms. RULE 43 departed TAMPA, Florida around 0711z and flew east out over the Atlantic. He went dark around 0740z+/- just east of Florida.

22.7 KHz VLF FSK is active at 0320z+/- with the NDDFN7 string. Finished with his final mode around 0940z+/-. TACAMO PAC

It quieted down around 0928z. Standing by for traffic was not heard at 0930z.
