Colombian president has decided that turning back those two C-17s may not have been the wisest move he’s ever made. He’s now offering his own aircraft to fly them home.
Off topic, but need for clarification, sorry, promise last post...Colombian president has decided that turning back those two C-17s may not have been the wisest move he’s ever made. He’s now offering his own aircraft to fly them home.
Eastern only has so many aircraft and their aircraft reliability is not like a regular airline (maintenance wise) so - not always available.OT: Funny as have seen the Eastern BBQ Jets working thru into Mexico and Central America on Repat mssions.
Use them instead.. Mexico like Cuba and others down there never let routiine C-17 Mil flights thru or in their Airspaces.
Sort of a long time Latin America pride type deal against the Yanks.. So be it...
BANKR-89 KC-46 inbound McGuire from Travis A-1 with crew of 3.. I think they were the Alert tanker out that way for CAP.
Speaking of Latin America HP-1A E35L Panama Embraer working way down East Coast from Davos Switzerland.

transition. Great job by all though with the live Bald Eagle circling and a National Anthem that the singer wasn't excessively showing off their voice pipes. ..
Well 11 + 1 = 12 if you count the freighter aircraft and the planned aircraftThey currently have 30 aircraft with FAA tails/licenses
Yeah they were a bit upset with their flyby according to their air / air comms. They knew they were a bit out of sync but one of the pilots said it would look different from the ground so maybe not too bad.OT: Watching replay of Eagles game and the flyover by NJ F-16's that right side #4 jet got a bit squirrelly getting in final 4 ship

OT: Eagles fans booking their tickets to New Orleans now I bet. They will take over that City
Interestingly enough, just got off a video call with my former employer who I work for now as a sub contractor and I told them we were keeping an eye on the movement of Eastern's fleet (since basically it is part of my hobby), they asked me to give them a list of the active fleet and where they are flying --- so I guess I can do it like the old days.....combine my hobby and my job. They currently have 30 aircraft with FAA tails/licenses
Looks like only 7 active right now, with 23 sitting in reserve.Interestingly enough, just got off a video call with my former employer who I work for now as a sub contractor and I told them we were keeping an eye on the movement of Eastern's fleet (since basically it is part of my hobby), they asked me to give them a list of the active fleet and where they are flying --- so I guess I can do it like the old days.....combine my hobby and my job.
Yeah the real trick is getting those parked aircraft airworthy, having the crews to fly the aircraft and having the money to pay for all of that.Looks like only 7 active right now, with 23 sitting in reserve.
