I was reading a while back that there is a new wing training out of Ft. Smith. I live in the MOA and been hearing the jets often roaring overhead. Anyone know the freq they are using air-air? I've programmed the listed ones out of Ft. Smith but hearing nothing.

I live in Conway County off the southern edge of the MOA, and I have been hearing the jets frequently.
I do not currently have my SDR set up and listening, but I plan on doing it soon.

Please try to keep a log of their activity for a week or so. This will help develop a pattern so others from out of the area may plan a trip to monitor during training activities.

I'm off the two weeks of Christmas & New Years and would like a road trip to monitor & watch my taxpayer money being used. The C-130s that fly over my house several times nightly are boring.

two flights of F35s just landed at FSM so should be flying tomorrow. "Kingfish" and "Wolf" flights. so anyone monitoring tomorrow please post any air to air stuff or anything for that matter they hear. 234.65 AA, 307.325 AA TAC in the shirley "Crow flight, 308.3,242.6,300.2,324.6 "Snarl" flight in the HOG MOA. 306.525 also in HOG. These are all confirmed AA I have heard from the pre-deployment OPS they have done earlier last month so more to come. The wing and squadron frequencies of the 188th on RR are are no good for a long time however the freqs posted above on previous post are valid. Lots of Blue Air training, Tulsa F16s, SOWs King air guys from OKC and now the F35s so shoild be lots to enjoy and support .

Thanks for the heads-up on the F-35s.

I'll load these frequencies in my TRX-1 and let it run for a week or so to see what I may hear in White County.

If I could play hooky from work I'd be finding me a hilltop to sit & listen from.

Maybe their training route detail will be in the next publication due out soon.

Has anyone been monitoring the FSM F-35's since they have been flying daily? "Wolf" is still using 306.525 air to air and 303.075 FSM Ops. Anything new??

So am I correct that if in northcentral or northeast Arkansas, the best to monitor is

Shirley MOA 254.400?

Or probably also

Refuel for this Region
235.100
295.800
260.200

I'm guessing?

Those are all active refuel routes for this region. I have not heard the 254.4 Shirley Moa in a while, It might have changed to 307.325. Which has been very active!

Several air refueling contacts have been made with “WOLVES” inside both HOG and SHIRLEY this past week . Tanker has been “HAPPY” 61 from Scott AFB by St. Louis. I would punch in 310.5750 for future activities on that freq. early night flying some this past week also.
