2 quick things i noted on the site.

the first being a headline that perfectly illustrates how the taxpayer gets the shaft due to industry domination and manipulation of the military acquisitions cycle:

its bad enough that the time from proposal to bid to delivery is such that by the time the end user gets the gear its obsolete, but now they have convinced us our obsolescence isn't good enough?!?! humbug!

regarding the picture at the top of this article that i cant seem to upload.....

Wouldn't it be cheaper to use SAPI plates as body armor? Ya know better coverage, lighter weight, and most importantly much cheaper. did i already say that?

or put the radios under the SAPI plates? i mean dang, you can sew a person up, we're fixable, we can heal, but there aint no saving a ventilated a microprocessor/chip.

"Other places" might be like our potential and real adversaries, any defense attache , many analysts, etc.

a VR headset? i was expecting just a large optical sensor mounted center of the forehead. they didn't have a picture from the front cause he's probably got coax spewing forth like a seven headed hydra

not sure if i understand what interested you in that article, sure $36,000 is a bit steep, but i am sure they'd drop the unit cost if we didn't make such small batch purchases. plus as time goes on the price will drop, its just such a new item at this time, ya gotta expect to pay a little premium, ya know, the cost of freedom brother, or whatever it is.

makes me wonder, over the life of the product, what the cost per spoken word is.......

i take that back, don't tell me.

oh...them....well they have to buy their equipment somewhere too ya know. they're too cheap to sign up for amazon prime anyway.

plus there is no harm done reading about our gear, it ain't like anyone can afford more than a couple AN/ARC210's for El Generalisimo's to play with anyhoo.
