I would imagine for large fire or extended crime scenes. Often times you may hear something on those for special events. So it's probably a good idea to have those on your scanner. When the RNC gets going, chances are many of those will be jumping.
Hey what is Cudahy fire dispatched on with tones? I have their response tgid (2061). And the common fire area tgids D and E. And i dont hear any tones on any of those.

I don't believe there are any Milwaukee County Fire Departments that use "tones." They are all Full Time.

Did u listen last night to 2032? It was constantly dtmf tornado sirens. All night it seemed.
Milwaukee's Siren system is setup a bit differently than most, let me break it down:

TGID 501 Labled Radio System Maintenance is used for the two way status reporting for the warning system.
TGID 2032 Labled Emergency Management Weather Siren Control is used to activate the system.

The old M-FSK system was deprecated because they didn't want the sirens to go off like they did in Dallas about 7 years ago. Even though its been a while since then, its always a risk.

This is just for testing, however, the polling and activation will both be done on TGID 2032. There is plans to encrypt the system fully. I hear this from one of the people maintaining that system. (He's a good friend of mine, we talked about it in a private DM)
