Is there anybody local to Maryland the programs Motorola fire pagers. I have a fire pager that is programmed however it seems as though the squelch is always open. I am not sure what is going on and I do not want to take it to a repair shop and get hit with a big repair bill if it is a simple fix. Thanks for any insight

Is it new or old? If old, check to see if the reset/monitor button isn't bad. I have seen these get "stuck" and cause the pager to constantly be in open squelch. Does it have scan? If so, it could be in scan and you are hearing a channel set up in open squelch, without an A/B/C tone set up. Just a few suggestions.

Adam, Chesapeake Communications in Easton will do it for about 10 bucks. I had some for the fire company programmed.

Just pm me my radio ref screen name "@ firehousemail.com" this goes for anyone, I do it becuse I enjoy it & as a free service to emerg personell for Their service to the community which is why it's 100% free. I have the same issue with mine, if it's set to "Auto Reset" it will squelch when alerted until you switch it over or it resets itself, And yes it does annoy me too but there is no way to change that part unless it is set to manual reset. Also there is a setting that makes it do that which can be turned off if I remember right. might just be the squelch level is too high??? But if it's a problem that's not programmable I would not be able to help I only do programming. I can only program the 3 & 4 though. Hope this helps!

My computer will not communicate with the pager, I have the right com port set and the baud rate, anything else I should check? thanks
