Very nice antenna but I don't think I want to spend over 100 I'm looking for just a wee bit cheaper

You can beat your head against the wall as much as you like. The tri-band will give you impressive results. But I encourage you to bumps and bruises to your forehead if that's your thing. Lots of info here about tri-bands, long or short (story) Laird or Lawson will come out on top. I have both and hear... a lot! Your $, your time, do with it as you want.
