Site 33 (Rochester) 153.455 has just appeared on neighbor lists in the area. It is not on the air now but I see all the LTR-NET frequencies for the site have gone silent. The site had some remaining school bus users so they will probably show up on NXDN now.

Site 90 has been off the air for a while but they just got new frequencies added to their license so they may be upgrading and related to the adjacent Rochester site conversion since they are on the same license and share available frequencies.

Site 29 (Macedon) is still LTR-NET but the license was recently modified for NXDN so I am watching to see if/when they switch over.

Site 60 (Avon) remains mixed LTR-NET and NXDN with the LA&L Railroad remaining on LTR for now but they seldom use it. I was going to do a Railroad feed of the LA&L LTR-NET but, after listening for a week, decided it would not be of interest.

Site 3 (Manlius) remains off the air and gone from neighbor lists.

Site 33 Rochester is on the air 153.455 CC. No voice channel activity yet. Apparently still in test mode since shows GROUP REJ to unit registration attempts. I have submitted to RRDB.

Site 90 CC back on the air.

I am getting ducting to the north and east now and I am getting marginal reception of Site 15 Rome. It is showing a new Site 5 on the NL but signal is too weak to decode the NL frequency data. Site 5 would be Baldwinsville. I just switched to Site 12 Tully and it shows that Site 5 has replaced Site 2 in the NL and the Site 5 CC is 151.910. I have a LTR-NET CC on 151.910 so can't get the NXDN if it is there.

I also can't get the Site 17 Boonville 153.365 CC due to co-channel LTR-NET CC.

Site 2 sees to be gone and I also notice that the quarries TGs 5&6 seem to have gone silent. They probably would have been the main user on both Sites 2 & 12. The main activity on 12 now is TG 7 VanSlyke trucking. Other than the occasional school bus food deliveries, the only consistent activity on Mobiletech now on the sites I can regularly hear seems to be TG 17, Wayne County garbage trucks, and TG 32, Fulton Taxi.

Correction to my post above, Manlius is Site 3, not 2. And, coincidentally, it was repaired today and should be back on the air after a major antenna system issue. Site 12 NL now shows Site 3 CC is 152.2775 but it is too weak here to decode most of the time. I do hear a weak signal on there now.

Site 5, Baldwinsville, is a new NXDN site just active in the last few days. Can anyone in the area confirm the 151.910 CC? I have a solid LTR-NET CC on that frequency.

I am getting a good signal, with help from a little ducting, from Site 3 Manlius tonight. The site seems to be back to normal.

Not getting any signal from Site 27, Adams, although I am getting strong signals from other VHF system in Jefferson County. Other Mobiletech sites up that way have too much co-channel interference from other Mobiletech NXDN or LTR-NET sites to get any decode.

I still hope somebody in the area can confirm data for Site 5, Baldwinsville, 151.910.

This morning, Tully NL showed a different CC for Site 5 Manlius: 151.655

I don't have any co-channel problem on this frequency but nothing heard. Site is new so maybe not on the air all the time yet.

I watched Manlius all day and didn't see the 151.655 frequency. But, I am happy to see this signal is strong again.

Are you tracking Site 5, Baldwinsville? I can see the neighbor list, but have a strong frequency near me that creates lots of decode errors.

Tully NL says Site 5 Baldwinsville CC is on 151.910 but I have a local LTR-NET CC constantly on there so no way I will hear it. I keep checking the Tully NL in the early morning when the signal is strong to see if it shows another frequency for Site 5 that might be clear here.

If you can confirm Site 5 is active please submit it.

Site 33 Rochester has been off the air after a few weeks where it was apparently just testing. It has dropped off the adjacent site NLs now.

Thanks for the info. This morning, I could hear NXDN under the co-channel LTR-NET signal but it never built up enough to decode the RAN to confirm the site.

Site 2 Alfred NL is now showing a new Site 76 154.505. This would appear to be WQYC449, Andover. It is on a tower at the school so not likely to be heard very far away. No way I will be able to hear it to submit.

Site 31 Attica has a new CC 153.4925 - submitted to RRDB

I am seeing new TGs 72 and 74 units registering on Site 2 Alfred. The site is too far away for me to track effectively. Both Alfred-Almond and Andover Central School Districts have Mobiletech UHF campus systems so they are likely users and may be these 2 TGs.

I did get a brief decode of Site/RAN on the Andover Site 76 CC so I have submitted it.

I expect school bus radio use to increase now with driver training in preparation for re-opening and a lot of activity upon opening with complicated split schedules and reduced bus capacity.

Mobiletech has several new or modified licenses for UHF school campus systems that will probably be active. These are all on-site, low power, so probably can not be heard very far away from the schools.

Thanks for posting! I have been watching that pending application but did not see it was just granted. With their strong presence along the NY Southern Tier I am not surprised that Mobiletech is interested in adjacent PA, probably for more school bus systems.

It's for the Troy Area School District. There was a newspaper article about it (link) in the Towanda Daily Review that I didn't post because of the firewall. But I did do an FCC search and this was the result. I just programmed it into my NXDN capable scanners.

When it becomes active it will probably show up on the Olean (Site 64) Neighbor List so you can get the Site number, RAN and CC frequency for each site if you have DSD+. The system is DFA so you only need the CC info programmed to scan the new sites.

My reception of Olean is dependent on ducting but I will try to watch it. I get marginal reception of Alfred and regularly check that Site NL for new sites in the area but I don't know if the Troy area sites will be "neighbors".

i don't have DSD+, I do have a TRX-1 | TRX-2. When active I'll be able to get the RAN. And Whistlers monitor voice channels as apposed to Control Channels. I am capable of getting Corning, Elmira, and occasionally Barton. School here starts sooner than New York so they should be active fairly soon.

And today's new MobileTech TGID for today was 30, don't know whose on it yet.

OK, as I mentioned above, 72 and 74 appear to be Alfred-Almond and Andover but I can't hear to determine which is which. Appreciate it if you can submit for any districts down your way that you can ID. I have also been looking for someone that can get the Barton NL data since I suspect there may be some sites east of there we don't know about.

You'd be surprised how much more info you can gather with a $20 dongle and $10 subscription to DSD+ Fast Lane. Right now you're only seeing a very limited picture of what is out there, not just with NDXN but also DMR and even P25. These scanners can only show so much, even when connected to Pro96Com. $30 investment goes a long way if you're serious about gathering info on these systems around you, which you seem to be.

I haven't ruled it out. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I haven't gotten one.
