Just a note here, and sorry if it's a repeat, but CPFD still dispatches on 149.775 with a 167.9 ctcss. I plug that one in on my conventional (non-trunked) scanner.

The story ONLY SAYS that San Diego City has said they WON'T go encrypted. Anyone that WANTED to could have already gone encrypted, most HAVE set up workarounds, so I really don't expect many, IF ANY, others to go encrypted in the future.
