This thread has been quiet for several months. I have a question and news... what's the deal with the Sea Girt water tower site we read about last year. Any construction or licenses applied yet? The last fire VHF holdout (Fair Haven FD) finally got radios installed and moved to TRS last Friday night. FD will be on Fire Central while EMS is staying on EMS North, for now.

Why would fd be on central and ems on north? Still using your local for firegrounds or ops 1?

FM's Office directed the move to Central as North was getting very busy with addition of D31. EMS was not told to do a thing at this point, though I would suspect a move in future. Only makes sense! Fireground is now Fire Ops 1 or 2.

Gotcha. If I remember right, fair haven was in the central region to begin with....

Sounds like the FM office wants everyone on ops 1. D38 moved to ops 1 from 2 for uniformity with county operations.

Correct... we were in a dead zone for VHF Central, so moved to North Paging/Response.

I understand Fair Haven PD is now up on the TRS. Anyone know what Zone (North or Central) and TG they may be using? Nothing showing yet on the Broadcastify menu. Thanks!

It would be North.

Bumping this post - anyone with trunk tracking picking up a new (encrypted) TG on Mon Cnty TRS? My guess is that the TG will be either 3008 bbg or 5008 138g. Thank you!

It's 3008 and it's been on the p25 for many months. Encrypted. I have my sds100 set for "talk group search", always brings up unknown talk groups

Thank you sir! I didn't see it on the Broadcastify list yet (though with encryption I can't hear it anyhow), but I was curious if it was up an running.

It appears Middletown PD has switched to the Monmouth county TRS on TG 3009 TE. Also as a side note TG 3008 is actually Keansburg PD and I have only seen Keansburg ID's 21xxx.

TG 3008 makes sense for being Keansburg, since its been out there for months. Fair Haven just switched over recently, just need to find out their info.

The database is currently updated and correct. Keansburg is TG 3008, Middletown is TG 3009 and Fair Haven is TG 3010...all encrypted.

In working with them on different occasions, they said they weren't happy with the state system. And the weird thing is Telegraph Hill is right in the center of Holmdel Twp.

Holmdel is hilly and obviously a difficult RF environment. They would need multiple receivers throughout town to make it work correctly.

I wonder how Holmdel PD is doing with this? They are on NJICS, full encryption.

Telegraph Hill is the highest point in Holmdel. Its not that difficult for the size of Holmdel Twp.

West Orange has a 600 ft mountain, TX site. highest point. They needed at least 4 RX sites to make it work inside buildings

west orange 12 SQ miles
holmdel 18 SQ miles
