Since we've been having a few posts regarding Morris County's UHF Trunked "MIRS" System, I thought I'd start a thread with some of the Radio ID's. Similar to Unitrunker, I've used this feature with my PSR-500 to help map new talkgroups on many different systems. Once a unit is identified on a single talkgroup, subsequent keyups on other talkgroups will disclose who may be possibly using what. Most agencies are assigned a sequential numbers of ID's as well. With more public safety agencies slowly coming on board (Washington Township, Chester Boro and Chester Township in talks with the county), this may prove useful in the future.
Here are some ID's i've logged over the past day. If you notice, the bases on MIRS-1 are in the 419xx series. SO cars are 410xx series. Wharton 553xx series, etc. Like I said, this may prove useful in identifying new talkgroups.
