Hello All,
I purchased several (8) Motorola DP2600e radios at auction from a company that went into receivership recently as I already had several (5) of the same model. I set about reprogramming them with my frequencies (we have a large property and operate 4 private freq) along with UHF 40 channels. Problem is they are password protected. I was able to track down the companies equipment manager who told me they came that way programmed when the company purchased them to stop staff from changing the settings etc and screwing them up. I then went back to the dealer they purchased them from who told me they needed the company director who ordered them to authorise the release...... As you would expect from a failed construction company director, he is nowhere to be found. Whilst I am going through the motions with the dealer and receivers to change their records, I would like to get moving with these units. I have a bit invested in this and it is bugging me not being able to use them! Is there a work around? I see some reference to updating firmware (the dealer supplied me CPS and the firmware package for them) but without the password I cant even read the radio. I have tried the clone etc from my radio but again the password blocks me.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
