• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Hello, my work has a few HT750 radios, and they are currently programed into our channels here and we recently purchased a few more after we found they are a good use, not the ones we currently have are donated and were programmed but we have recently lost the software to program them. Is anyone able to help us find a suitable program?

Asking about obtaining software here is a no-no, as explained above.

There are some radio shops that have the legacy software and ability to program your radios. Check your favorite search engine for those shops or specialist websites. Mother M gave up on that radio some time ago.

Sorry I am not able to be more helpful, but they are serious about it.

Motorola has allowed free downloads of the CPS Professional Series 6.12.05 for some time now.

@EVANS123 You have to create an account with Motorola to obtain an FRN Number. Once you have an account, you can use the user-unfriendly Motorola Home Page and you can download it from there.

I am not asking for a program, I was asking who to go to, example: Motorola Support yet I found this out already, now my main question is HOW do I use BRCPS through Motorola, I can only find the 9.11 download, yet nothing will work with the HT750 radio we currently have. If this makes sense? Along with what I am looking for.

Most 2way software older versions will not read what a newer version writes.
So if your radios were programmed with the newest version then the older versions will not read them.
Alright, thank you.

Do you use this program frequently? And where would I go to obtain a FRN Number?

With HT750/1250/etc., you can get away with creating a new codeplug in an older version and writing it to the radio. Now the radio has the older version you can read and write to. Don't work with the newer stuff of course.

Before you go through all that, reach out to a ham club near you and ask if they know anyone that can program the radios for you. You're only going to do this once. Why go through all that?

Frequently you can find hams using older radios like yours, that have the software. And programming cable (which I didn't notice anyone mention you also need).
