mp antenna expierecne

i am in the process of chosing a new mobile antenna, and would like to hear from someone with knowledge of the mp antenna super m classic,, thinking about this or a austin spectra, i monitor 42. mhz chp thru 460 mhz local pd's, not alot 800 mhz use. Thanks for the comments.
P.s. i'm running this to a gre psr 500 if that helps.

I think the very best mobile antenna for VHF lo through UHF is the old Antenna Specialists MON series. The whip is quite long but that's why they work so well on VHF lo. Its best to cut them to your specific VHF lo freq and going from its factory 35MHz to 42MHz will shorten a little.

i have one i think, bout three footer with black load in center with 1/2 steel ball on end?, but the black plastic base the whip screws to that attaches t the nmo mount broke, and the company i got it from says they cant get anymore
