Is something strange happening with MPSCS in Ingham? Or statewide? My scanner is silent today no matter what I set it to. I will experiment more when I am home from work. When I scan through the tower frequencies conventionally there’s still all sorts of stuff. Just wondering if maybe channel ID table changed or something?

Never mind- I asked my dad and a couple friends who all have scanners I programmed the exact same. They’re working.

So I just got my SDS200 today and am starting to try and figure things out on the MPSCS system, I am in South Kalamazoo County and picking up St Joseph count and the system shows "Waters" or other sites. When i look those sites are far away.

I also think there is another site in Portage that doesn't appear to be listed.

Kalamazoo County uses a simulcast cell, so there are no stand-alone sites within the county.

Browse through this page for MPSCS: https://www.radioreference.com/db/sid/100 to get familiar with sites in your area.

If you loaded the whole MPSCS system, the Waters site and Kalamazoo County simulcast use some of the same freqs, so depending on which one your SDS stopped on is the name shown in the scanner display. If you want to know the real tower being displayed, after first enabling "detailed display mode" (see how at
), look at the RFSS ID and site ID. It should show "3" and "51" respectively when receiving Kalamazoo County simulcast, regardless of the site name being displayed because those items are taken right from the control channel being used.

That would probably be Grand Traverse (county 28) although I have found some radio IDs that do not follow the standard scheme around here in the capital area- some MMR ambulances and MSP radios
Edit: oops my bad didn't see you want a specific agency. Around here it is all over the place but I am working on a spreadsheet
