Did you happen to catch any RID's or what kind of encryption was used?

Per logs, its DES-OFB encryption.

The county recently opened a new jail and Sheriff's office.
Heard on the Mount Pleasant (Beal) tower.

5288 - CHEB Fire Ops? Interior traffic… sounds like some training too

4634 - CHEB EMS. “Alpha 163 to Cheboygan”

11643 - Sounds like a law tactical team training… has 991XXXX TIDs. Some encrypted

21119 - “E9” 5437895 RID

22536 - Some kind of paging channel. Could not make out the township name and also paging the “TRI Team”

23172 - sounds like a statewide law enforcement TG. 5 PUAL XX callsigns. Dispatch encrypted. 9139XXX rids

anybody have any idea of possible paging channels for the DNR in the traverse/cadlilac area?

For Lenawee County, I've noticed that every now and then (usually once every week or two) there are other frequencies that a talk group uses that are not on the list of MPSCS in the RR database for Lenawee County Simulcast. For the most part, the overwhelming majority of chatter takes place in the listed frequencies.

Given how trunks work, I would assume that the voice frequencies are handed out randomly and that the distribution over time for all frequencies in the system would be relatively equal. I have never actually saw which talk group ID's use the rarely used frequencies, but I do see the frequencies on the list every now and then. A check right now shows the "last used" time for two of the items below as 6.85 days ago.

I have noted the following frequencies that are not currently documented for Lenawee County Simulcast <Site 025 (19)>:
764.456250
853.781250
861.812500

I'll try to find what talk groups use those, but it might take time to figure out how to get my setup to log them appropriately.

Many schools in Michigan have P25 radios in the office with an extra big emergency button that is monitored by local dispatch (
). Today a local school accidentally pressed their button, and quickly released a statement on social media explaining the accidental trigger. So being the log hoarder I am, I tried to find the activation and I did. It turns out pretty much every school radio was on one encrypted TGID (shocker, right?) but it was kinda odd... There was little to no voice traffic, like ~20 calls over many months, but each radio "joins" the Talkgroup continuously all day. Doesnt "login" or "logout", it just keeps joining? is it like a ping effect to make sure the ship hasnt sunk or something?

Note: Im unsure if this is a sensitive topic... know RRDB approves of encrypted talkgroup submissions since you obviously cant monitor, but I just want to make sure before I add Unitrunker Screenshots... I only have TGIDs and RIDs, no identification or anything special...

Apologies for going OT, but a rhetorical question:
Why didn't they just get the Rave Mobile Safety panic buttons?
