I just upgraded the scanner in my truck from the BC350A to the 350C. Can I listen to state police on that or not??? I have seen a few frequencies for state police in Traverse City area, but I think I might need a trunking scanner instead.

Thanks,
Nick

Nope sure cant. Go look at the MPSCS System and you will see that the whole system is Digital, only analog on the system is the I-Tac and I-Call Channels.

You will need the following scanners to monitor Michigan State Police:

BC796
BC296
PRO-96
Pro-2096(soon to be released)

Hope that helps

Also, it should be noted that digitial reception while driving is very hit or miss. You need to be in a favorbable area to pick up continuos digital.

Not with my Pro96, that only happens if I'm well away from a tower but I've never had a big problem while driving up in his area (but there's not a whole lot happening in the TVC area.)

I was going to say! I dont have a problem recieving with my pro 96 nor my 796.....I can see it being hit and miss if you are up north and a long way from a tower or something......no hit and miss here!
