Mwaa Dulles 800mhz talkgroups

Someone really needs to run Pro96COM or one of the other P25 data decoder softwares so we can see if adjacent site broadcast messages and what the control channels are on the other sites.

There are no other sites. The current site does broadcast an ID of WPAY962 which does not exist in an FCC search.

I heard 106, DCA MWAA OPS today. Slowly talkgroups are coming on board. I can also say we have heard maintenance channels previously mentioned.

system has sites at both airports. I believe the licenses are WPAY961, WQVW672, WQKC302

I saw no indication of a MWAA 700 MHz site at either DCA or IAD today. Looked at the entire Public Safety band from 769-775. The only decodable control channels near DCA were from the PG system; and the only decodable cch at IAD were from Maryland FIRST. I didn't check the Dulles Access Road, but I suspect there weren't any along that route either.

The new 800 P25 MWAA was strong at DCA, along the Dulles Access Road, and at IAD. I wasn't logging TGs per se, but the ones I heard sounded like facilities and services - no public safety yet. The system IDs as WPAY962, although there is no FCC record for that callsign. WPAY961 is the callsign for the legacy 800 system.


I'll be submitting frequency updates to the RRDB.

Site 2 is the only site - it covers both airports and the toll road, like the legacy system. No Peer sites according to UT2.

I deprecated the 700 MHz system. It seems unlikely that the single toll road site is still on the air, and the 800 MHz P25 system seems to be the direction MWAA is going. For reference, the deprecated system can be seen on this page:

106 is Operations at Reagan National. References to Runway 33. clearance Movement on runways and taxiways. Maintaining same
107 is related at Reagan National. References to Runway 4

I corrected 107 by submitting to the database. References made to terminal gates at dulles and weather coming in tonight. Just checked the radar and yes storms are close to dulles. This is operations channel at dulles.

Catching TG 140 tonight. Seems to be Electricians. Reference is made to channel 2. Must be Dulles because the Electricians at Reagan were already identified.

I monitored a box alarm at the Dulles Marriott go out via Fairfax 4 Alpha. I switched over to monitor scan on the unication pager. I have no traffic from MWAA fire on any talkgroup. All I confirmed were TG 142 for PD and 107 for operations.
