I would agree with you, but your not considering their professional grade radios that do P25 and trunking. Read the Ianews and it will shed some light on things, the budget is not in recievers market for them, its for ham, two way radio and avionics. They been off and on partnering with kenwood for product devlopment for p25 and similar stuf.
Consider who pays what to them and why you traget a speciffic sector.
