New catch tonight, TG 50003 on Humphrey tower around 1745 today, no voice. Another new county agency coming on?

New talkgroup 60176 with RID 68251 affiliating on the Osceola tower around 1710 02-21-2011. No voice.

Showing this RID active as I write this, but on TGID 6001, affiliating to T166 Norfolk. Voice w/radio testing.

Here is a long winded RID:

The techs are testing at Wayne State College and Jones Creek. 6001 confirmed as Radio Maintenance.

Howdy, everyone!

Yesterday, I had RID 68251 affiliating to the Plattsmouth tower and generating activity on TGID=50004.

As with Rich's observation about TGID=50003, I had around 2 or 3 voice transmissions, but not a thing being said. Each was around :60 in length.

It'll be interesting to figure out what these TGIDs with no voice are... maybe some sort of data application that happens to run over a voice channel?

Another mystery!

While staying parked on Tg 6001, I have noticed both 16000027 and 999001 is using C4FM then what appears cutting over into encryption. I did not note any change in the mode displays to show encrypted transmissions on my Pro 106 or Pro96com, however the voice output was pixelated, sounding much like an encrypted transmission.

The radio techs did turn on NSP Scottsbluff, Tgid 3116, for a while, interesting to hear what is going on in the panhandle. I didn't notice it right away until the dispatcher was time stamping the transmissions in Mountain time!

The radio techs are now parked on the Humphrey tower doing testing again.

just heard encrypted, and non encrypted traffic on 6001, on the cedar bluffs tower. also heard about 10 seconds of unencrypted on 3301. all of this happened within the last 5 mins...

edit: just heard someone on 6001 tell someone to go up a channel, they then started talking on 3301

I didn't get a RID, I was mobile at the time I heard it. About the same time I also heard NSP patching to North Platte Police and LCSO. Last week I did see a pickup pull up to the comm center with the license plate MOTORLA.

Howdy, Squier!

I think that 3301 _may_ be a Troop A encrypted TGID as I've seen NSP Radio IDs on regular TGIDs and run ENC on 3301.

I'll do some further checking of my affiliation and channel grant logs and will let everyone know!

Would've been kinda' awkward for Deputies to be working in clothing with "LSD" on it, while busting people for the usage/sale of same! :*)

Howdy George,
Same thing could apply to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department, but the probability of
LSD showing up there would be greater considering their location to the UNL Campus. LOL !

TG 6001 and 3529-Confirmed 3538-Poss work TGID?

Got 2 more confirmed talkgroups:

TG 6001-Radio Maintenance-Back in town yesturday doing "range" testing.
TG 3529-Kearney Control 2-Confirmed by NPPD crews working on a broken pole.

TGID 3538, was used quite extensively on this accident. My thinking on this TG it is some sort of "work" TG, much like the OPPD work talkgroups. Quite a bit of "coordination" transmissions between 3 crews. I will give this TG more research to get more info.

50021 and 60263

I picked up ID 50021. unid law agengency talking about obtaining a search warrant. and a 10-98(assigment complete) about an accident near Hershey Ne.
I also picked up ID 60263. I wasn't able to hear the conversation clearly due to my kids being loud.
I picked both of these ID's from the N-WIN omaha tower.
Sorry that I didn't have my 996xt running Pro96com @ the time. My daughter was using the computer.
