By virtue of someone in the area apparently associating a radio, was able to monitor some of the security activity locking down the Navy Yard in DC this morning, and then subsequently hearing "car 1" announce to communications and all gates and responders that "the subjects have been identified" and that all gates can be reopened to allow people to leave.
Apparently they identified who or what made the noise that someone took for a gunshot.
Came over the Naval Academy site. Thought that there was an unusual amount of activity on that system this morning, and as I listened realized it must be DC. "Car 1" confirmed that for me when he made his announcement to all Navy Yard Units.
