NC Ferry Frequencies

I am looking for the frequencies used by the NC ferry system, specifically the ferrys handeling ocracoke.

At one time, DOT used 47.260 / 107.2 to coordinate staging and loading of the ferries at the Hatteras dock.

I do not know if they still do.

The 156 MHz frequencies that Drafin listed are marine channels, but DOT is also licensed for LMR frequencies in the lower 156 MHz band ... check the segment from 156.0 through 156.240 for handheld activity.

Was using CH 17A ,156.850 for loading and unloading

Heard an interesting PonPon convo while waiting between the Booger and USCG, they were sending out requests to other mariners for assistance to a boat taking on water.

OBX-Ocracoke & Hatteras Ferry's

Two weeks ago heard them and verified them on 156.400 & 156.700 both ports. This includes the loaders or handlers , whatever they are called.

Southport- Ft. Fisher Ferry (NC)

Was traveling on the ferry this past weekend, for loading and off loading, the staff uses 156.85 (Handheld radios).

I will post the new freq today.
