~Location: Currituck, NC
~Radios: Motorola HT1250, Motorola XTS2500, and BTECH DMR-6X2 that are personally owned (have not done much with the BTECH yet, bought it to get into HAM stuff and got sidetracked).....I have a Motorola APX6000XE issued to me by work.
~What do you monitor? Primarily law/fire/EMS for Currituck Co, Camden Co, Pasquotank Co....I frequently scan Virginia Beach and Chesapeake VA when I'm out and about in that area because I have those jurisdictions in my work radio for interoperability and I always keep my radio in the truck. I'm interested in getting into HAM like I mentioned but havent gotten there yet.
I enjoy reading and learning here.....very, very novice level (if not even below novice) but interested to learn what I can.

Hello...I am Preston, and am new to radios, scanning, & such. Yancey County Area. Husband, Dad, Pop, & Executive Chef. Learning radios with my son, and starting small. My son is a firefighter/first responder. I have an older brother who is a Ham Radio Operator.
