Need Advice

Hey,
I live in Peachtree City (Fayette County) and I am interested in mainly listening to Police, Fire, Ambulance and maybe Drive Thrus. I was thinking about purchasing the Pro-97 since it is on sale for 150, but I do not know if I will be able to listen with that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Pro 97 will fit the bill. My mother in law lives in there and that is what I use.

i live in Riverdale, and i think listening to what now day school kids and teens do, is a lot more fun than listening to PD/FD/EMS. i have been very surprised what ive heard coming from the Clayton CO. BoE Bus frequencies

i live down in henry co.. and listenin to henry BOE is better then listenin too clayton PD

Alright, I just got it today. It came pre-programmed from RadioShack since I can hear some public works,and airfield channels. How would I go about listening to any these (http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=3619&d=&opt=all_tg )? Do I have to enter in the dec number or what? I also noticed with the SignalStalker that it looks like it only scans up to 300. Is that right? Thanks, It is a great scanner so far.

Edit: Ok, I programmed in some of the police and fire freq's, but I havn't heard anything on it. The police station is only a couple of miles away, so I dont know why I wouldnt be able to hear anything.

last i checked, not to much goes on around the PTC Area. i used to live in PTC for almost 18 years, its gotten to "Rich and preppy" like neighborhoods and people. PTC as a city has WAAAAAAAY too many rules and regulations, and teh cops are just straight crooked.

had to move back to the ghetto of Clayton County.
