need help programing scanner

I have a Uniden Bearcat model #BC148XLT-1 I am looking at programing it but not sure how. I have gotten frequencies from my area but not sure which one to use and what channel to put what frequency on. When entering frequecies not all number go on screen just wondering what to enter and what to do. any help would be appreciated, as for I really do not want to take to someone to do as for I believe i can do this all myself with help thank you.

1. To program the first channel, press Manual 1 Manual

2. Enter a Frequency, don't forget the decimal point

3. Press E

4. Press Hold (This will advance the scanner to the next channel)

5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until all channels are programmed.

Some frequencies you may not be able to put in exactly, such as 159.2625, it will round off to 159.26, 482.7125 will round off to 482.712. That is not a problem, it's just that it's an older, simpler scanner. It enters the closest frequency to the one you enter and will not cause any reduction in performance. Google is your friend.
