Huh? Are you wanting to mount it in another vechicle and/or base setup?

Well mobile mount might not be the best term. It sounds like you want a quick releice mounting solution. As I've recommened in the past, I like the mounts made by Rammount. They have a universal mount that would match the 2096 mounting brackit very well. In fact, I plan on doing my 2055 this week. I'll try to take a few pictures while I'm doing it.

The ram mounts allow you to just turn a knob and remove whatever you have mounted. You can have another "ball" mount elsewhere, and remount the 2096 with a simple turn of the knob. You can expect to pay around $30-40 for the mount.

What type of Rammount would you suggest for hand held scanners?

They sell several versions of handheld mounts. Some are to be used with the beltclip, and are what I would use if I were looking to mount a HT in a car.

This is a complete setup, you'll have to look at the size to be sure if it will work. http://www.gpscity.com/shipswith-ram-mount-ram-b-138-bc1/ramb138bc1.htm

Here is just the mount, without the base equipment. http://www.gpscity.com/item-ram-mount-universal-belt-clip-holder/ramholbc1.htm

They also have "wrap around" mounts that are universal, but I've long preferred something that I can clip a radio onto.
