The conclusion that he has been selected for such a project has not been addressed here and may very well be completely invalid. If he was selected by the SIGINT guys who actually make the decisions and do know their engineering, he would not be posting Scanner 101 questions here. We have no experience with him or any expertise that he really has; and I suspect that the leadership over there does not either - and have not heard of him. Sounds like fishing for whales on extremely light fresh water line and tackle. Back to washing the Colonel's jeep!

That may true, but he could also be "one of them" fishing for information as well. Either way it seems hoakey to me. I see this going the way of Claude Akins on Maple Street in the Twilight Zone.

Affirmative! Switching to ProVoice talk group! (BZZZAPT. BZZZAPT. Garble, Goomble, Snark. BEEP).Looked at his prior posts too. Either incapable or too lazy to do his own WIN96 programming and asked for basic information that is even covered in the RatShack instructions. From these posts, he is definitely not a double E PhD from MIT and an unlikely candidate for SIGINT design and support. Back to washing the Colonel's Jeep or guarding the NCO's latrine door.
