I am trying to program my 2055 using Win97, I have the conv. freqs program with no problem. I am trying to program the following EDACS system for Worcester FD

I have the channels in the right order, RX Mode set to EDACS but under CT/DC I am not sure what goes there. WHen the display is stop on any of the freq, under the alpha tag and reads EDACS: none?
and in the alpha tag/ID section What am I suppose to put in there? Hope someone can figure out what I am trying to put across to you guys.
This is my first attempted at programing any truck system.

CT/DC are for tones that are used for conventional freqs only, so leave them at "0.0". Make sure you have EACH channel set to EDACS as well as the BANK set to EDACS (where it says "Type").

Put whatever you want to show up on your display for each talkgroup in the "alpha-tag" section, and the individual talkgroups ID's go in the "ID" section (AFS in this case, since it's EDACS).

Thanks W5,
That is what I have done.
I think I need to make an 800mhz ground plane to pick them up. I live about 25 miles south of them and with my 40' high mounted scantenna you think I could pick them up, I guess not~!

Also be sure to set the first channel (LCN 1) 851.46250 in channel X01 not channel X00 (Where X = the bank number). The rest of the channels follow in LCN order.

LCN = Logical channel number

I can set this up in Win97 and send you a copy if you wish.

res2cue - since you already have WIN 97 you may considerer taking the next step and become a donationg member of this site. With the web import function you can drop data directly from the RR database directly into WIN 97. This takes away all of the guess work.

Stick a 3-3/4" vertical rod on the scantenna. parallel to the other rods sticking up. That'll add 850 MHz to the antenna. It's pretty flat ground out there, so you might get some signal. (I'd think you'd be getting something alredy, but the Scantenna may be totally deaf on 850.)

Hay AL42 can you explain a little for me on how and where by showing some sort of pic?
I cant seem to pull in anything over 400 if I do it is real scratchy and bearly readable.
I have no problem picking up 154mhz northeast of Boston but can't get bumpkis out of Boston and or Worester, (Bos,40 miles and less then 25 mile from Wos.) from me.
I have my scantenna pointing kind of in the middle of them and still nothing.

Thanks everyone for the info and yes I will donate to this super site.

Ken
