Anyone heard any more traffic on the 700? Now that most of the southern 2/3s of Utah now with Tooele and Box Elder later this week. Anyone got ideas on some of the talkgroups?
We have some up in the air with all the 63xxx patch TGs its making it harder to identify the real TGs
And there is only a few of us trying to identify for the whole state so it would help even if your not from the area to help with these TGs. SL county area and Utah county area will be end of November and first part of December, So until then we need help identifying these TGs.
This system should use the same entities as was on the 800 system so it should be as big or bigger than 800 was.

I will be in northern UT in about 3 weeks, so I'll definitely help out with Box Elder & Weber counties. I might get lucky and get something from Morgan & Summit counties as well. I will be using SDR as well as a couple of Uniden scanners, so I should be able to capture quite a bit if they're up and running.

There are some sites near the Wyoming border , near medicine butte. and near Flaming Gorge, at Dutch John where they should be cutting over today in Daggett County. the southern half of Utah is cutover to the new system 700mhz. 800 is getting quieter. Salt Lake and Utah counties will be the last areas to be cutover also the biggest areas. it seems some of the simulcast sites have been picking up the traffic from other areas even though they haven't been cutover yet like utah simo or sl simo picking up other parts of the state.

If road conditions are decent for the trip back home, I might just cruise up towards Bear Lake and head across 30 to Kemmerer. I'm hoping that I can catch some traffic from Rich County, but last time I went home that way, all I heard were crickets.

Hearing Tooele (or what I assume is Tooele SO 1) on 6418. But it's bad...like, really bad. It's as if somebody just ran an audio cable between the console and a radio. I realize they're just getting cut over today, but man, that's worse than drive-thru audio lol.

thats a familiar thing until its completely done, all or most of the counties have dealt with poor audio or not able to hear each other.

u can download sentinel and backup your scanner first , save the info from the scanner, then update the database on sentinel then write to the scanner , u must do it in that order , if u want to put a favorites list on it u can . make sure u right click on the list to make sure its down loaded and turned on and the monitor part is on. quick keys and the service types are also helpful if u turn on the service types u want to hear and set the quick keys up

Tooele county is coming through loud and (mostly) clear today. They are still working on bugs with paging and a few audio quality and programming issues.

Washington County appears to have gone live yesterday 10/31/2024. It is coming in loud and mostly clear.
considering its been online for about 2 weeks or better and encrypted at last report, the only thing clear is fire 1 & 2 and probably UHP.

Do you guys hear a short "hissing" sound after each call (mostly dispatch channels)? It's kind of annoying to listen to after hearing such clear digital audio. I'm using SDS200's via ProScan software.
