Version 1907B
DEC 2019

Feature improvements:
- Receiver start-up now faster.
- IF direction can now be set (F+9). Advanced only. Useful when connecting another receiver’s IF OUT to the antenna input of AR-DV1, for digital decoding tests.
- Tetra slot number now registered in the backup file.
You need to upgrade to this firmware to use the Tetra slot number feature newly implemented on AR DATA EDITOR at AR Data Editor:Help

Bug fixes:
- Firmware versions 1812.dv1 and 1903.dv1 did not correctly record discriminator audio to SD.

Anyone else seeing that the shutdown time has increased since swapping to 1907B?
Start-up quicker as they said but on mine a long press of power/vol now turns off the audio but the screen remains on for another 40 or so seconds?

My AR-DV1 starts and shuts down faster. Up to this Firmware I believe the SD CARD was read entirely during both operations, to no apparent result, and I imagine they removed that process in this update, other than quickly checking if a Card is inserted.

If I am correct that will help as when there was even the smallest error on the Card, the DV1 responded erratically. This was especially troublesome during shutdown.

My DV-1 is getting the display replaced at AOR-USA. I wonder if it will be returned with the new firmware installed........hmmmm

I only know of two other people who have had to return the DV1 for repair. In both their cases when it came back it had the latest Firmware installed. In one case AOR had replaced the MK1 main board with a MK2, but did not tell them. May be a good idea to query that, if yours was a MK1.

To avoid stirring that up again, for anyone reading this, AOR never publicly released any information about the difference in boards, other than them needing different firmware versions. To my knowledge there has never been any difference in performance reported. The reason is probably as simple as AOR not being able to source some components for the MK1 board, so had to use different ones, which resulted in a MK2 board and the need for slightly different firmware.

Hope you get your DV1 back soon, Cheers

Very good point you make regarding the main board. Double check.
