Guess the CAP is over. The 2 F-15's just rumbled over my house. I mean they were smoking. Just heard them on 300.925 having a fun chat. Wow you can see those red blinking lights for a looong distance.

Yup...the CAP ended a little after 1900 local last night. Heard them give the freq 300.925 as they were leaving Huntress.
This morning CAP is active again. I think today is the last day.
Tanker is WIDE 06 with MUDDY fighters (sounds like)

If they are "MUDDY" then they are F-16's of the Ohio ANG in Toledo. We (Mid-Atlantic) have them in the Guard Dog CAP from time to time.

Saw a few hits on 349.700 too. Hey I saw you have DPD omnix antenna. Which one are you using? The milair or general coverage one? I have been looking into getting one and wonder what you think of it. Currently have
the radio shack discone/ham antenna. I was hoping to get a little bit more range with the DPD one. Thanks

They're tracking people and vehicles and describing buildings and munitions.

Most recently, today on 233.450, 267.800 (Cobra-01) but several other frequencies also.

I have a live feed for my use but anyone is welcome to use it.
It's mostly quiet.

Its probably Cobra 01 and Python 01 which are MQ9 reaper drones from Hankook Field in Syracuse. They go between the Ft Drum range, Adirondack Airspace and Oswego area. They also use 283.800 too. You may hear the call sign Ralley also which I believe is the ground unit. I have those freqs locked out. They seem to have a exercise for a half hour or more twice a day. I never catch anything else because I only have one radio in use currently. They sometimes are in the Viper MOA with MA f15's and VT f16's for training.

Yep, they're the ones.

Thanks Chris. I used to hear them so much that I started logging other things on that scanner instead of the MilAir.

There's been a LOT of three letter federal activity in the last few weeks around here.
So I started logging them instead.
It's all encrypted but it's an indication that something big must be going on.
