Hey everyone im an emt in ohio and i recently decided to get into ham radio and general tinkering with radios. I was refered here by a friend. I bought my first radio, syntor x9000e/sys9000, and im interested in learning about them more. I look forward to talking with everyone on the forum.

Have you looked at scanners as well?

As far as band goes i have no idea, totally new to this. The radio itself is an 800mhz radio and im missing a cable to it. I do have a few scanners though. Would anyone happen to have or know what cable i need? Its from the sys9000 to the control head that i need. Control head is hcn1045a. Im pretty much using this radio to see if i really want to get into it or not. Pretty much i like figuring out how stuff works and i came across this syntor.
