Passed my Canadian Basic test with honours (96/100) last night and the documentation has gone to Industry Canada. When they get around to processing it I hope to be VA7SDH.
Thanks for the list, and I appreciate the thought and effort. As it happens I already have a full list of local repeaters in my GRE-800 scanner and at my age don't plan much future travel, but I do thank you for going to that trouble to usher me into the fraternity.
Well, it took two weeks, but I am now officially VA7SDH, and have made my first few QSO's on VHF. Logged into the Monday night WARA net and made myself known. So I'm off and running. I will be a volunteer amateur for communications at next Sunday's 10K race here in Victoria, British Columbia.
