Is anyone thinking of establishing a Broadcastify feed for the New Hanover County Trunked system? I would be a fan.

Read your own post, and think ILM STAFF doesn't use ATC frequencies, aircraft flown by pilots use ATC freqs. This thread is about the NH P25 system not aircraft.

But that's not referring to people who talk to aircraft. Not people heard on LiveATC.Net. There are other people at commercial airports with radios that you won't hear on LiveATC.Net. Like maintenance & security.

Dude, why don't you chill out? Your question has been asked and answered several times. If you can't understand the answer then that is on you. Having said that, the post that you initially questioned literally gives you the exact answer to your very question about it, so it doesn't even make sense. Lastly, if you're on LiveATC then you will be hearing conversations of air traffic controllers with airplanes. That's the point of the site, and that is not encrypted. Maybe an admin will be kind enough to close this thread

If ILM is encrypted? Then how come, I can hear the on LiveATC.net?

I'm only seeing two encrypted talkgroups for ILM here. one for PSO I'm assuming are public safety officers & another for maintenance. No ATC comms are ever encrypted. These are internal operation talkgroups at the airport & have nothing to do with what is heard on LiveATC

Just wanted to see if anyone had any updates on the New Hanover County P25 system. I was able to monitor numerous talkgroups until Fall 2021, but now my G5 is unable to detect the system. It connects to VIPER without issue.

Same here. Changed nothing and my G5 won't pick up anything. Have triple checked the settings. Still can't pick up the system. In Carolina Beach now for the week and still not having any luck. Did you ever manage to get yours to work and if so how?

Sounds like equipment issues, Hate to say. Whistler 1040 has worked fine alongside XTS and APX using NAS programming for 3 years being down there off and on. Have Whistler 1010 on air frequencies and CG channelsalso with no issues. One thing to keep in mind, all fire is dispatched from one PSAP using station numbers not names

Since the problem appears to be common to the Unication radios, contacting Unication or posting in the Unication forums would seem to be warranted.

I'll be in the Carolina Beach area next week and will have my G5 and SDS100. I'll report back with my findings on the G5 scanning the New Hanover system.

Are most of the PD Comms encrypted?

All LEO agencies are encrypted,, load the local RR data not VIPER into units. There is no viper traffic in county other than SHP.

No Marine Fisheries Patrol? No Wildlife Resources Commission? No ALE, DOI, etc? No Federal? Plenty of LE on Viper to listen to down there. It might be sporadic but it's there. Plus the surrounding counties will be hitting New Hanover sites intermittently.

Post was to say New Hanover County proper does not utilize VIPER for local radio dispatch. Yes, there is more traffic on VIPER from state and feds from time to time. Since I use APXand XTS i have to select what I monitor. If your desire is to hear emergency services dispatching in the county you will have to use local system info since there is no patch to VIPER.

I changed that in the Unication software with no success. I'll be here for a week and keep trying to figure it out when I have some spare time!

I'd cross reference all the frequencies you have in the SDS100 and the G5. I've had that issue where my SDS was receiving but G4 wasn't and the G4 was missing frequencies

I just did that as well. All database frequencies are correctly programmed into the G5.
