tried that already, and like I said, when I save the link to my desktop, when I tap on it, it changes the "/whats-new/" to

"?_PWS=1"

which sends you to the main page directly and will not go to the "whats-new" page.
When you add the bookmark to your home screen, can you edit the URL before you click Add?

EDIT: looks like the "App Icons" app will allow you to create a home screen icon with a specific URL.

And one last thing, when you're on an iPhone, when you want to save a link to a page your desktop, what you do is look down at the bottom of the screen in the center you'll see a square with an arrow protruding upward from it. Tap on that and scroll down to "add to your home screen" or something similar when you do that you're supposed to be able to just one Go to that page directly what is happened since the implementation of the new web interface is, it will not do that the same way anymore it will direct you always to the main page it changes the "whats-new"at the end of the URL string to:
"?_PWS=1"
which sent you to the main page and will not allow you to look at the page you would saved the desktop link to.

That's all I have to say on the subject for now, I've got to get back to work… Yes I'm an old fart and I still have to work!

There is an iPhone workaround for keeping the original url before it gets changed (i'm using iOS 16.6.1)....

First make sure all open Safari web pages are closed.

on your phone, copy this url to the clipboard:

https://forums.radioreference.com/whats-new/posts

Then go to settings and turn on airplane mode. Then go to Safari address bar and "paste and go" with the copied url. The page load will of course fail and you should see this in the browser window:

url1.jpg

Then use the share button to add that page to your home screen and you should see this:

url2.jpg

The url still can't be edited but it is intact as the original that was pasted in Safari. Just edit the name and "Add". Turn airplane mode off.

Ahhh thanks.... that works!

The only problem is is that it doesn't use the radio reference desktop icon, but that's OK I know which one it is.

Thank you very much!

Can Last Updated be moved to the left a little closer to State to eliminate the spacing between Last Updated so FCC grants and FCC licenses fit without having to use the slider?

Go ahead and re-add it. It should now
well, I did give it a try. it's still not there, I will go to the forms but I still have to tap on the "new posts" link at the top to get to the new posts.

When I use the link that was given to me and I put the phone in airplane mode, and follow the instructions as before, I will get a desktop icon with a blue background and a big P in it, and the title is tiny but it doesn't matter I know what the icon is.

however, when I deleted that rebooted the phone etc. and tried to go directly to the page, and make a desktop link as before, I get the same activity it will not go to the new posts but it will go to the the forums section where I still have to tap on "new posts" to get to the new posts

Bottom line is, the workaround using airplane mode does the trick so far, there is just no radio reference desktop icon that goes with the link.

Little glitch I'm seeing with Chrome 116 on Win 11. When mousing over the icons in the My Counties or Systems sections, it just flickers and none are clickable. The flickering is much faster than my converted gif makes it look, and the mouseover popup with the description text only works for me when either right clicking for a menu or "getting lucky" with a click and it will popup, but nothing actually happens beyond that.

Throwing my $0 .10 (gee thanks inflation) in - I actually think it looks nice @blantonl and gives the home page a fresh look.

The only suggestion I could make that would make it even better (if it's even possible) would be to have the MyRR button on the home page change colors (or some other differentiator) to indicate a new update - similar to how the other parts of RRDB change with Green for last 24 hours and Yellow for last 7 days. That would allow those coming to the home page to at least know one of their watched systems has updated and draw their attention to go to the MyRR page and see the specific updates. If it's not possible, I understand, it is not really a deal-breaker for me with my current flow around the site.
