radioditch what change is coming soon new radios or the dispatch
it was fire dept ops..actually fire trucks bringing gifts on santa patrol2011 - New Providence
2000, 2022, 2024 all are being/have been been used as prefixes by Union County proper.
Cranford FD is dispatched by UC 2400 on UHF and simulcast to the appropriate NJICS talkgroup. That will however, at some point reasonably soon, change.
New Providence Fire is part of the Mountain Valley alliance and has established PD and FD Operations talkgroups. Could this be another municipal service or NP Rescue Squad or was it definitively fire traffic?

Thanks, getting new radiosMy understanding is that at some point Cranford FD will begin going directly through the NJICS vs. simulcasting.
6095 is a rebroadcast of Cranford PD current dispatch channel

Cranford UHF P25 is still active.
Interesting...a site at that location should help improve in-building portable coverage in Hoboken, which has reportedly been forced to use their analog conventional repeater instead of NJICS due to coverage issues.West Orange is reporting a new (isolated) neighbor site 29 what has a control channel of 856.7125. I suspect this is a the new NY Penn Station BDA site that will be coming online soon.
If the Jersey City subsite of the West Orange cell 1.5 miles south of Hoboken isn't providing enough in-building coverage, then a site at Penn Station 2 miles away isn't going to make any difference. The Penn Station site is only licensed for two frequencies at very lower power 20' above the ground. It is not intended for wide area use.Interesting...a site at that location should help improve in-building portable coverage in Hoboken, which has reportedly been forced to use their analog conventional repeater instead of NJICS due to coverage issues.
Correct. Plan is to give NJTPD officers better portable coverage inside the station. If the Jersey City subsite of the West Orange cell 1.5 miles south of Hoboken isn't providing enough in-building coverage, then a site at Penn Station 2 miles away isn't going to make any difference. I'm sure Scott will add it to the database once it's actually on the air, but for the time being, no. It'll only be of interest for those in the immediate area of Penn Station anyway, as previously discussed. Is this something that should be added to the database?
It will be interesting to see who else may affiliate with the ASR other than NJTPD. So if you travel through PSNY and have your scanner with you, you can let us know who else may be using it.I'm sure Scott will add it to the database once it's actually on the air, but for the time being, no.
