On Union County Simulcast right now., TG4927, two guys having a breezy conversation (Sounds like a QSO) about BMW's, now talking about what gear they're running on 220mhz. The only thing missing is their call signs. :)
Springfield PD 3
A conversation best suited to 220 or 440. I see that the radio is affiliating back and forth between Union County and West Orange Simulcasts. UID is 2017186. I think one of the guys was using a handheld, as he mentioned that it should go back on the charger.

Our Tax dollars at work.

Wow, nothing like posting up conversations on a PD TAC channel, let alone the specific talk group and even the UID of the subscriber ! And you wonder why we encrypt things. You can post that Springfield PD 3 is full-time ENC shortly.

There, fixed that for you. :cautious:

I feel bad for the veteran MOS who is being written up because that post was made. And yes, you read that right. Not could be, not might be, IS BEING. Be careful what you post, people of authority watch these forums...at all hours.

This is how the hobby gets destroyed. Think before you post.

I'm not sure how I was so oblivious, but did anybody else notice the Easton ASR is missing from the site list in the database? Did we somehow miss it during the great excursion this summer or am I forgetting something (which is entirely possible)?

Should be:
770.65625, 770.93125, 773.31875
40.709771, -75.20905

OEM...and you see that UID affiliate with Martinsville when at home. Small world.

Easton (previously Site 18 when it was an ASR) has been part of the Hunterdon cell for at least 3-4 years. There are no sites unaccounted for in any adjacent site lists, so the db is current for the time being.

I believe when the location of the Easton IR was pinpointed, it was also confirmed as a Site 2 subsite. Might want to check your notes.

Figured it was me being oblivious. And my notes from the summer are a mess right now. Which is probably why. Sorry for the airhead brainfart moment. Thanks @GTR8000.

If any of you live near any of these sites, please check the site NAC when you have an opportunity? The others have been checked, updated, or are being monitored for change.

Does anyone think the state 800 MHz will ever be retired and current subscribers will switch over to the NJICS? Sorry if this is a stupid question the NJICS sounds better than the 800 MHz that’s the only reason I ask.

I don't think so. My modest outsider's understanding has always been that the NJICS was never intended to be a replacement for the NJSP SmartZone system. There are some NJSP users going through the NJICS, particularly investigations, some Troop patrol units, etc. But not to serve as a full outright replacement.

Also, on a proper subscriber radio the NJSP SmartZone system sounds just fine.

The njics is meant for interoperability by local agencies, with smaller geographical limitations. That's why cape May County agency will not be heard or use frequency spectrum in the northern part of the state. Furthermore the New Jersey State Police have expressed interest in converting their 800 system to p25 digital with 100% encryption.

So let's play a game called Find Site 9. Ok, challenge accepted. And Challenge defeated. Site 9 is the former Site 6 with freq. and NAC changes. Coming soon to a database near you... ;)

Is Site 6 completely off the air? I've seen the documentation regarding the county's frequencies being folded into the Cape May cell, but it wasn't entirely clear as to whether they would maintain any separation between the two. Certainly there are supposed to be more subsites than the original three.

I think I've posted this previously, but now that things have changed down there, it's worth posting again. These are the subsites that are supposed to eventually make up the cell.

Yep, site 6 is off the air completely. I just made an updated submission regarding freqs. and NAC's. No new sites other than Site 9 was found, and no other NAC's changed from Long Branch all the way down the coast and into the interior (Millville) have changed at this time.

I think based the Cape May Simulcast change, and all of the NAC changes, it's safe to say REMU is getting back to a normal project schedule.

Off topic @GM, but did you happen to have an opportunity to check the SmartZone Millville IR? If not, could you next time? There's reasonable suspicion there's been changes to it and Port Elizabeth.
