Channel lineup change at High Point (Site 26). Ch 5's frequency was swapped out, and an additional repeater was added (Ch 6). The control channels remain the same, these are both traffic channels, so no changes to any scanner programming are required.

Of note, these two new frequencies are off the WQYK287 license for the Sussex County simulcast. It seems that they're reconfiguring the ESS racks at High Point and Walpack to accommodate the new frequencies, and once the Hamburg site is ready to go, they'll reprogram a few more repeaters and the simulcast will eventually come to life. I expect to see Walpack's channel lineup soon change as well.
Walpack (Site 27) reconfigured today; same changes as High Point.

The state has worked out an agreement with some of the counties to take over their 700 MHz allocations, which will be added to the NJICS (similar to what Union County has done).

Once the licensing is complete, the state will create new simulcast cells within each of these counties, which will eventually replace the sites/frequencies that currently serve each county.

For example, Sussex County is currently served primarily by two sites: High Point and Walpack (Hill 1606). The state has worked out an agreement with Sussex County to acquire the county's 700 MHz channel allocations of 769.33125, 772.14375, 772.64375, 773.21875, and 773.71875. Eventually there will be a new 3-subsite simulcast covering Sussex County, and the current state-license frequencies in use at High Point and Walpack will be decommissioned at those sites and reallocated elsewhere in the state.

The above from @GTR8000 dates back to Oct 2016. Government moves slowly. Is it likely these frequencies will be the new simulcast cell?

The four new frequencies at High Point and Walpack will eventually be part of the simulcast, yes. At the moment, they simply added two frequencies to each site from the five frequencies on the WQYK287 license (772.14375 and 773.21875 to High Point, 772.64375 and 773.71875 to Walpack).

Refer back to this post I made...

I expect to see Walpack's channel lineup soon change as well.

Knew that'd get you. :ROFLMAO:

That'd be great Ed. Like I said. If I recall, backhaul was all they were waiting on. I could easily have been misinformed or be misremembering though.
So...I confirmed that 'nothing' has been done yet at Hamburg. Equipment is not yet on site. At some point though it will happen but me thinks there are more important things going on right now with getting the rest of the network ready with more MPLS hardware. But I may stop by the site in another month or so and see if anything has changed.

Thanks for the update and correction.

Had Cape May, Hammonton, Berlin simulcasts all decoding on the G5 and other radios with tropo early this AM. Let’s see if the same exists tomorrow AM.

Fired up UT as band is wide open again. Cape May matches DB perfectly as does Berlin. No luck on Hammonton as scope was being trashed by pulsing noise.
Band was busy early on a Sunday.

Anybody confirm that with the move to Mountain Valley RCC, that Springfield Fire ops are now on TG 4927 (old PD-3)?

Perhaps….In passing I thought I heard something on MVC from Springfield eary today but kinda missed it so I dismissed it.

UT 4623 shows FG3 active today UID 2005048 UID’s 2017xxx-197. About 20 hits
UT 4927 shows PD3 active today UID 2000184 UID’s 2017xxx-186 About 35 hits

I am unable to match identical UID’s on both TG’s. Some close but not identical.

I will keep a closer ear out @RadioDitch 😳

The way it was told to me by someone involved is Springfield FD should be being dispatched on Mountain Valley RCC Dispatch, and ops should be on 4927. Unfortunately somebody shut down my computer back in Jersey, so I can't check.

You are correct. That did not take long. Springfield Fire Toneout on Mountain Valley Dispatch TG 4819 Response on TG 4927. Just heard a call and response.

You doing DB or shall I?

I would say yes. It did not take MVCC long to update website.

Yeah, their IT guy is good. Can you check MVECC Dispatch for Springfield EMS to see if they're being dispatched on the ICS/PSIC now? I know their rigs are equipped.

I have checked MVECC 4819. Indeed Springfield FAS is both dispatched and response is also on 4819. Looks like they keep all the various EMS on 4819. DB sub you? please advise @RadioDitch
