Traveled yesterday to the NW corner of the State, mostly Sussex. Noted on all the various north sites traffic from B 2, B 3, B 4 Comm. These were all busy w traffic.

Eh, I don't know about that. I've been tracking the two Sussex sites 24/7 for a long, long time in Unitrunker, and here are the number of hits (PTT's) for the NJSP talkgroups on each site for the month of August so far (current up to midnight last night).

These numbers paint a much different picture of "busy w traffic". High Point essentially only carries the 2-COMM traffic, and even that is not 100% of the time as we can see in comparison to Walpack. The other talkgroups very rarely come up on High Point. 3-COMM is carried a fair amount on Walpack, but the other two talkgroups, not so much.

Perhaps you were also listening to Bowling Green, where more traffic from 3-COMM and 4-COMM might be carried, but the numbers for the two Sussex sites don't lie. The point being, don't expect to tune into a Sussex site and hear all of the NJSP Troop B traffic, because you won't. The 800 system is still the only reliable way to hear all of the NJSP traffic troop-wide.

Outstanding, I was site scanning & driving. No data. Bowling Green for sure. Makes sense to me. Thanks for the detail. I am not up that way much. I seems as if Troop traffic on ICS increases each time I am up that way. Do you think Aeromedical up North is exclusively on NJICS @GTR8000?

Very few of the legacy* talkgroups are "exclusive" to the NJICS system. The two primary medevac talkgroups are certainly not exclusive, they are still FDMA and are carried full time on the 800 system, whereas they will only pop up on NJICS sites if a radio is affiliated. Both talkgroups are carried full time on High Point due to Atlantic Air 3's base being in Vernon.

* Legacy defined as those originating on the 800 MHz system with a TGID lower than 4096 (65536).

I was on the road earlier today and ran Unitrunker on Sites 5 and 9, and low and behold, Site 6 is back on the air. User RobertPearsall and I cross referenced notes and locations, and we can't seem to pin point the location of it currently in the eastern part of the State from Ocean county down into Cape May County by Exit 19 off the GSP. If any of the South Jersey monitors could run Site 4 and see if it shows up as a Peer on either Unitrunker and/or Pro96Com, we can try to pin point the location. The CC freq is 773.95625.

773.95625 is licensed to Cumberland County under WQYF895 and WRNA388 as part of a simulcast cell. The cell is going to be on the 39A core initially as a 6 subsite cell, so that's probably what you're receiving.

My buddy is currently up on the 6th floor of a hotel in Wildwood Crest with a clear view to the north and west from his balcony, and is picking nothing up on 773.95625.

What is he listening on? You never know, there could be a cell site on that hotel or a neighboring one throwing interference. Especially if he is listening on a scanner.

APX 8000...he's a professional RF guy, not a hack lol.

He just went up a few floors to the roof and is picking it up now...barely.

773.9562 working very well here but I am only a mile from the Cumberland county 911 center which is probably where the site is, Using 772.3187 and 772.8562 and I believe I seen 773.1933 also as talk channels.

Is there anyone in that Cumberland County area that can run software on Site 6 to gather the relevant details? We need the alternate control channels, site NAC, site neighbors, etc.

I have set up UT to run 24/7. A little tropo is all that will be needed.

Drove down to Cumberland County to verify everything. I did notice that the current simulcast is low power compared to other simulcasts within their respective coverage areas. Perhaps eventually Millville Site 18 will become part of the County simulcast in the future? Something to be on the lookout for. (y)

Question,
Since this Cumberland Co site has come on line has anyone been seeing Millville or Bridgeton coming up on the Berlin site ?
I used to see them constantly on the Berlin ste.
Thanks

Thanks for the DB Sub. Interesting to me the frequencies chosen for this site. The majority are from the dozen or so on the Cumberland license. About half licensed are in use on new Site 6.

Of interest to me is why choose 774.33125. This frequency (Alt cc) appears to be in use at the Wall NJICS site, yet it appears there are unused frequencies on Cumberland license.

Wall is certainly within tropo range, and we know how sensitive P25 headers are.

Above my pay grade.🤣

Has anyone monitored the New Cumberland Co Simulcast site 6?
If so does Millville and Bridgeton Police talk groups affiliate and transmit on ? I know they are encrypted.
I only heard a couple medical dispatches on what is labeled as Bridgeton 3.
I used to get Millville and Bridgeton all the time before also on Berlin site but not the past week or two. Trying to find where they ended up.

Bridgeton and Millville pop up on site 6 for about a second then move on like they should because they're still encrypted. Talk group 4929 seems to be patched for Bridgeton fire and Ems.
