Newbie to NJICS so please be kind. I have several very basic questions I'd like to ask about the NJICS system. Is this the proper forum to do so or should I be somewhere else. Thanks in advance!!

This thread is generally used to discuss changes to the system itself. You're probably better off creating a new thread if you have some specific questions to ask, so that they don't get lost in the mix here.Newbie to NJICS so please be kind. What do you mean by thisI looked at the other threads on this but I can't quite understand what the change is... any details? Do I have to update configs?

Its the NJ Firemens convention, if a chief or radio that is on NJICS is on in Wildwood this weekend, would they be able to communicate back to Bergen or Passaic County as if they were not a hundred plus miles apart? Would an 'on" radio then link/affiliate to that radio's home area?

Consoles changed today from windows 7 to windows 10 and the new consoles of course have new RID's to go with them.Seeing a lot of new or changed RIDs with the update today. RWJ is using 13000xxx while NJ Transit PD is using 10732xxx. Looks like NJSP and other state consoles are now using 99xxx RIDs also.
Guess I'm gonna have to re-learn a new numbering scheme.
