I spent about an hour or so at Downtown Manhattan (with a great view of Jersey City to Edison) searching up and down the 764-780 MHz band and to my surprise came up with 5 control channels! I used a PSR-500 using the RH77CA antenna.

All have system ID 39A and WACN BEE00
764.76875 MHz - Site ID 123, Tower 117 Site Trunking Mode
774.78125 MHz - Site ID 101, Tower 101 Site Trunking Mode (Very strong)
770.40625 MHz - Site ID 133, Tower 121 Site Trunking Mode (Very strong)
770.93125 MHz - Site ID 123, Tower 117 Site Trunking Mode (Very Strong)
773.76875 MHz - Site ID 101, Tower 101 Site Trunking Mode (weak)

No voice traffic were heard on any of them.

Here's a Pro96Com decode file if anyone is interested,

Can you e-mail me your Pro96Com log files that you've recorded for these two sites?

Cool. Manhattan's a big place. Where about were you - and were you at ground level or some stories above? I seemed to get better results down low - too many competing signals when rooftop.

I was at the Battery Park City Promenade, probably 6 feet above sea level :)

Tonight I get 100% signal on one control channel even at my home in Queens, using a 800 MHz 1/4 wave antenna at above 80 feet above ground.

I programmed the south site 103 in Berlin into my 996XT and I've heard some radio tests on TG 1 and the same radio ID's mentioned earlier. I suppose this is Phase I activity as these scanners can't receive the Phase II activity. I can't hurt to put it in and see what you hear.

As other members mentioned, TG 1 was active today, but only very briefly.

In Budd Lake, I'm getting hits on 774.78000. It's also stopping at 774.7850...

SID 039Ah - 0124

Signal is also weak, but 770.410

Thanks for the update; anyone else who can use Pro96Com to monitor this system throughout the state, please feel free to share your information so we can begin to assemble the database entry for this system... The format above is a perfect example needed for each site.

Thanks,

On the ride from Budd Lake to Paterson, these frequencies came up:

774.7812
770.4062
773.7937

I don't know if I'm providing useful information or not?

Yes, that is useful info. It helps all of us listeners come up with notes to compare and then when finalized, we can all figure out what should go into the database (that way bad info is not submitted). I also got those hits when traveling from Edison to Montvale on the GSP. Keep this type of stuff coming. :)

OK, from my vantage point here in Branchburg, I'm getting 774.78125 quite strong. I'm also getting 770.40625 at about 1 bar (barely).

I guess they haven't got the system deployment underway yet at the Cherryville site (closest to me). I'm going to plug in the 774 channel and see if it's the same one kenisned was receiving...

Update - it is the same - too much RFI near the shack PC to get the system to receive, but the 396XT read out 039Ah-0124 when stopped on the CC in the living room. Going to have to copy Pro96Com over to my laptop...

Driving past the Telegraph Hill tower at the Garden State Arts Center earlier, I noticed that 770.93125 cc was very strong with a site ID of 023 and an NAC of 390. However, down here in Belmar using an external antenna, I'm picking up 773.31875 cc with a site ID of 034 and the NAC is 394 with 2 bars. I'm wondering if that may be in the Toms River area or interior areas like Allentown. Looks like more signal hunting in line for me in my travels...

Not a problem...I just picked up the CHANGEME CWID on 770.43125

Also I'm noticing that on Pro96Com its showing the active CC as 773.30625 when i'm tuned to 773.31875 is this a common thing on the other sites?

I've not seen the control channel change like that. Are you using the most recent version, which I think is 1.9.7? Also what are you using as a receiver? My setup is the PSR-600 or PSR-500 if I am mobile. I noticed that the Uniden's still do some flaky things from time to time.
