Okay, same traffic then. I heard someone testing, but I didn't get to the radio in the other room fast enough to get any info off the display.

For the REMU testing, I suspect that may have a lot to do with the issues the 800MHz system has been having on the North Simulcast. Someone directly in the know could probably clarify or elaborate.

This morning heard traffic for NorthComm on TG 3625. Sounds like DOT talking about Route 101, flooding. etc. This is on PSR-500, so digital but not X2.

Which site is it? I'm seeing the talkgroups and radio IDs flash on the screen but I'm still not hearing anything. signal is 5 x 5 here

Activity seems to have shot way up today. I am monitoring Site 101, CC 766.01875 and I have 39 talkgroups so far with 190 Radio IDs logged.

As other users reported there are phase I voice activity today that sounded like DOT traffic, also, the radio IDs on those talkgroups are unique. In other words, there is a good chance that the audio you hear is not patched but real users on the system.

Picking up DOT Nor Com on tg 3631 in Rahway

CC 774.781250

Is this talk group carrying the normal ESP traffic for the north region? Should be simulcast from the NJSP 800 at the moment if it is.

I don't know what they consider North region for ESP, but I was hearing stuff down on 295 the last few days on the 700 system.

I don't know what they consider North region for ESP, but I was hearing stuff down on 295 the last few days on the 700 system.

On the 800 NJSP system, they were the following:

58096 = North ESP (I80, I-280, I-287 North)

27760 = North-Central ESP (I-78, I-287 South, Route 24)

58640 = Central ESP

58672 = South ESP

From my travels in and around the Garden State within the last month, I've noticed the following Control Channels from my PSR 500:

S005 $395 774.56875 Atlantic City & Woodbine area
S034 $394 773.31875 Wall Twp. area
S023 $390 770.93125 Holmdel area
S001 $390 774.78125 Montclair & Newark area

Note that I do not have other fancy toys or programs that others have (ProCom 96, data slicers and the like, nor do I have the time for that). I figure I would throw this out there for those who have the time and proper equipment (I'm not Phase 2 compliant [yet]) to test out these areas in their travels and see what pops up. :)

W2GLD yep its ESP North on 3631 dont know if its a simo or not

Wasn't this morning at least. Traffic on 3631 was not coming over on any of the 800MHz DOT TGs. Again though, that was just this am, I can't speak for previous days.

Seemed like REMU to me, heard lots of talking about "hitting tower such and such from location such and such" and talk groups,etc.

I was monitoring the REMU units doing extensive field testing last Friday afternoon and evening. They were showing up on their usual analog ID and C3-01 on the 800 system and also on ID:1789 on the 700 system. They were all over the place doing RSSI testing on different sites. They will resume more field testing Monday morning.
