Not receiving any transmissions from any towers or sites in north Jersey. Both my scanners were working well until about 4 months ago. Not sure what changed. Please help. WS 1065, PRO 668. Conventional freq. and State Police are working.

Any towers or sites?

A major change was Garrett Mountain moved from site 1 to 17.

Mmmm well you never picked up NJICS on the 15 year-old GRE psr-600 rebranded by Whistler and called the WS1065 as it is not Phase ll capable. You're RadioShack rebranded Whistler rebranded from GRE is P2 capable but has a poor history of performance on Phase ll.

I listen to Bordentown simulcast site only but it sounds like Mark was saying that there was a change in one of the sites up north. Maybe that is affecting your Radio Shack scanner. Expect a delay for your return post as it'll only be your second one and you are being moderated for a handful of posts.

I'm certain that you had a brainfart when making this post, and completely forgot that there are still plenty of FDMA talkgroups carried on the NJICS system, not the least of which are the NJSP talkgroups. Remember, it's the talkgroups are FDMA or TDMA; the system itself is largely agnostic and depending on what features are purchased and how the channels and talkgroups are provisioned, a P25 system can carry FDMA, TDMA, or dynamic dual-mode transmissions (TDMA preferred, falling back to FDMA if an affiliated subscriber is not TDMA capable).

Anyway, to answer the OP's question, yes the old Site 22 Ramapo was incorporated into the newly created Site 17 Passaic Simulcast cell. The Garret Mtn site was moved from the Site 1 West Orange Simulcast cell to the Site 17 Passaic Simulcast cell also, so if you're up in that Bergen/Passaic area and those were the sites that you listened to previously, you'll need to update your scanner programming.

Yep the only thing I listen to now on the new system is 10 com because I live on the river across from Burlington station. I only use the Bordentown simulcast site.

I should have looked at that harder, since I'm retired I didn't do much with the system...

I haven't touched a GRE/RS/WS radio, especially that model in a long time and I've never listened to this system on one but I should have remembered it has both. I have heard that before.

Thanks, apologies to the op.

x2. You will not hear anything if you still have “Ramapo” configured. It must be all the CC’s(primary and alternate) that are Passaic County. I’m in Ringwood and can confirm. Phase 1 and 2 TG’s coming over on my 996xt(Phase 1 only) and 325p2(Phase 1/2), both monitoring at home.
