Just got a hit on TG 27, Woodbridge site.

"Operations to District 2. Guard rail missing, truck took it completely out."

Sounds like *possibly* they're on the Turnpike Hudson Extension.

District 2 is in the Southern Division of the Turnpike. The Hudson Extension would be District 7.

Roger. I was guessing cause he was talking about it being Westbound, and some locations that sounded similar. Could this also have been Parkway District 2?

Either way, it's confirmed to be a South District for this talkgroup.

I believe the Parkway refers to their Maintenance locations as "Maintenance Yards". Either way, #2 would be in Clifton NJ.

Okay, NJTP South Maintenance it is I guess. Which would also indicate that the sites aren't compartmentalized and are probably all linked.

Hearing that new radios are now being installed on the turnpike fleet starting in the south, they expect to be on within the next 6 weeks.

Also hearing radio traffic off the Bloomfield site from the North, Central and South intermittent 24/7.

Sounds like its going to be pretty neat when everyone is finally on by the winter of 2016-2017.

I believe the GSP Maint Ops talkgroups (25, 26, 27) are a "Fleet-wide" type, and broadcast over most of the sites. I hear all three of them off of the Woodbridge tower, so I'm lucky in that sense.

And with the GSP, they also started the radio installation and testing in the Southern districts, and moved up the highway as well. Maybe some of our South Jersey listeners can start running Unitrunker and/or Pro96Comm to nail down some of the district talkgroup affiliations so that when the snow starts, the fun begins. ;)

The other sites in the southern part of the state along the Turnpike should have at least one more voice frequency as the system becomes more active (one control, one alt. control, and two voice). When I did the initial research on the tower locations and sites, it was just the one voice frequency, but now that the system has more activity on it, those sites that have just three frequencies listed will have a fourth one to be found. This is teamwork at its finest. :)

I think 10 is NJ Turnpike Authority Fleetwide (and 9 is the Radio Technicians). There are others in the teens range. I logged 14 and 18 on GSP southern districts towers. I believe the 30-51 range will be assigned to the Turnpike Ops.

Looks like some of the Turnpike South Maint. units have the new radios in them - Talkgroup 45 sounds like the NJTP Southern Maint. District Fleetwide talkgroup. If anyone down in South Jersey can verify this, that would be great. :)
